Description

These festive Pumpkin Shaped Pizzas are an easy Halloween dinner or party snack made with pizza dough, pizza sauce, mozzarella, and simple toppings. They're fun to decorate, quick to bake, and perfect for kids and adults alike.

Ingredients
    Pizza
  • 1 large pizza dough
  • 1 tbsp all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • Sauce
  • 5 oz pizza sauce
  • 1 pinch dried oregano
  • 1 pinch garlic powder
  • Toppings
  • 1 1/4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 8 pepperoni slices
  • 2 black olives, sliced
  • 1 small green bell pepper
Instructions
    Prepare the Dough
  1. 1
Preheat the oven to 425°F and lightly grease or line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Lightly flour a clean work surface and roll the pizza dough to an even thickness of about 1/4 inch. Use a pumpkin-shaped cookie cutter or a sharp knife to cut out 6 pumpkin shapes, then transfer them to the prepared baking sheet.
  2. Make the Sauce
  3. 2
In a small bowl, stir together the pizza sauce, dried oregano, and garlic powder until smooth. Spread a thin layer of sauce over each pumpkin, leaving a small border around the edges for the crust. A light layer helps the pizzas bake evenly without becoming soggy.
  4. Add the Cheese
  5. 3
Sprinkle the mozzarella evenly over each pizza, then finish with the grated Parmesan. The cheese should cover the sauce while still leaving enough space for the decorative toppings to be visible.
  6. Create the Pumpkin Faces
  7. 4
Cut the pepperoni into small triangles, crescents, and smile shapes to create jack-o'-lantern faces. Arrange them on top of the cheese along with the sliced olives. Cut small rectangles from the green bell pepper and place one at the top of each pumpkin to create a stem.
  8. Bake the Pizzas
  9. 5
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbling and the crust is lightly golden around the edges. Allow the pizzas to cool for 2 to 3 minutes before serving, as the cheese will be very hot.
Note

Store leftover pizzas in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheat in a 375°F oven or air fryer for 3 to 5 minutes to keep the crust crisp.

Avoid adding too much sauce, as this can make the pizzas soft instead of crisp.

Store bought pizza dough works just as well as homemade, making this recipe even quicker to prepare.
