Instructions
Cook the Cauliflower Rice
-
Heat a large nonstick pan over medium heat and add the olive oil. Once the oil is warm, add the cauliflower rice and sprinkle in the salt. Spread it into an even layer so it cooks evenly. Stir occasionally and cook for about 5 to 7 minutes, until the cauliflower is tender and slightly fluffy. If using frozen cauliflower rice, continue cooking until any excess moisture has evaporated and the texture is no longer wet.
Mix the Spicy Tuna
-
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the drained tuna, mayonnaise, sriracha, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and soy sauce. Use a fork to break up the tuna and mix until the texture becomes smooth and creamy. The mixture should look glossy and evenly coated. Taste and adjust the spice level if needed by adding a small amount of sriracha.
Assemble the Bowl
-
Divide the warm cauliflower rice between two serving bowls. Gently press it into an even layer to create a stable base. Spoon the spicy tuna mixture on top of the rice, placing it in the center or slightly to one side. This allows for easy mixing while eating.
Add Toppings and Serve
-
Top the bowls with cucumber, green onions, sesame seeds, furikake, shredded nori, and avocado slices. The toppings should add a fresh, crisp texture and a balanced finish. Serve immediately while the cauliflower rice is warm and the tuna mixture remains creamy.
Note
Store leftovers in airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For best results, keep the cauliflower rice and tuna mixture separate until ready to serve.
Reheat the cauliflower rice gently in a pan or microwave until warm. The tuna mixture can be served cold or brought to room temperature.
If the cauliflower rice becomes too soft, cook it slightly longer in the pan to remove excess moisture and restore a light, fluffy texture.
